Bill Wilson - Executive Director and Treasurer 
Bill joined International Paper in 1974 as a plant engineer in the St. Louis Container plant. He worked in the Industrial Packaging business for 17 years in various roles from engineering to General Management. Bill spent 9 years in Beverage Packaging followed by 8 years in Bleached Board and the Coated Paperboard business. His most recent management roles included work in the EDGE project and Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence. Bill retired in 2014 after 39 years of service. ​Contact Bill at ​​​.

​Joyce Margulies - President

Joyce joined International Paper in New York City in 1981 in the Legal Department. She made the move to Memphis in 1987 and continued to work in the Legal Department as Chief Counsel, Human Resources until 2009 when she retired from the Company. She has her undergraduate degree from the City College of New York and her law degree from Fordham University School of Law.​

Fred Ellrich - Vice President

Fred began his career at Hammermill Paper Company in 1979, after several years in public education, as a programmer/analyst. In 1989, he joined Union Camp Corporation in Franklin, Virg. and held positions in marketing, sales systems, and customer service management.  Fred moved to Union Camp in Savannah, Ga. as division marketing manager, and came to IP Memphis in 1999 as division customer service manager for the then, Bleached Board Business. Assignments as project manager for the Invoice Accuracy project and business analyst on the EDGE project preceded his retirement in 2005.  Since retirement, Fred has earned his doctorate in education and is an adjunct instructor of leadership at Christian Brothers University, a facilitator in the professional education department at the University of Memphis, and an ordained minister in the Anglican Church. Fred and his wife, Tanya, live at Pickwick Lake, Tenn. and spend as much time on the water as possible. Contact Fred at:

​Mary Fortin - Assistant Treasurer

Mary is a 31 year employee of the Company.  She currently is a Process Steward in the Supply Chain Center of Excellence – Mfg and Deliver team and has held various roles in Finance and Supply Chain over her career. Organizations with which she has worked include Corporate Finance, Beverage Packaging, Folding Carton and Label and the Supply Chain Operating Model Project Edge and Corporate Internal Audit. She spent 5 years in Public Accounting prior to joining International Paper.  Mary graduated from Rhodes College where she earned a B.A.- Math & Economics and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mary’s spouse, Ricky, also works for IP in NAC and her daughter, Elizabeth, is at UT in the Physical Therapy Doctorate program while son, Benjamin, is a Jr. at MTSU studying aviation.

​Brian Issing - Secretary

Brian is currently a project manager in the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence. It was in 1985 that Brian began working at IP in its New York City headquarters. In 1987, he moved to Memphis when the operations headquarters opened on Poplar Avenue. Brian has held numerous roles in Customer Service, employee training, process improvement and system development but the one he enjoyed the most was when he was standing up the then Printing and Communications Papers Global Customer Service Center in Krakow, Poland. During those seventeen months, he facilitated the customer service training of more than 100 employees. That operation has been in place since 2005. After Poland, Brian joined the EDGE project and then moved into a role in the Center of Excellence. Brian is currently the Vice President of the board for the Memphis Chapter, a position he has held since 2016. He joined the national board in 2019. He and his wife live in Collierville, Tenn.

Christa Allen joined International Paper in 1988 and has served in a variety of communications, sales and marketing roles across several divisions of the company. In her current role, she supports  the communication needs of Mark Sutton, IP Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, helping to create messages that drive alignment around the company’s priorities and core values. Christa also serves on the company’s Commercial Excellence Leadership Council which is responsible for creating and communicating a strategy to strengthen IP’s customer culture. She is married to Mike Allen, who also worked for IP for many years. They have two children, Dillon (24) and Caroline (20). Christa earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Georgia.

Doug Camp joined International Paper in 1993 as an HR Associate. In 2010, Doug was appointed Director of Human Resources for the Printing & Communications Papers business and Global Finance. In 2011, Doug was named Director of Human Resources for IP Asia.  His responsibilities included HR for IP’s operations covering eight countries including China, Japan and Southeast Asia. In 2014, Doug relocated back to Memphis, TN where he leads the strategy development, process design, implementation, delivery and continuous improvement of both IP’s HR analytics and IP HR service delivery processes. He is responsible for global HR operations, compliance and service delivery activities including the downstream impacts of HR processes including payroll and benefits administration, compensation, reporting, and on-boarding.  Doug is married to Kerry Camp and has two children.

Greg Houdek

Greg started his career at the Androscogin, Me., Mill in 1981 as a process engineer. He held various production and technical management roles at Androscoggin as well as at the Thilmany and Nicolet Mills, and the Franklin, Va. facilites covering 24 years of his career. He then held several leadership roles in Printing and Communications Papers for the EDGE deployment. His last role with IP was at xpedx with leadership responsibility for the distribution centers in the West. He retired form the company in 2013. Greg and his wife Karen now live in Wisconsin.

Jack Joseph

Jack joined International Paper in 1991 as the HR manager at the Foodservice Business facility in Shelbyville, Illinois.  He has also served as a Business HR manager in Retail Packaging, Beverage Packaging, Coated Paperboard, and Information Technology.  In 2007 Jack was named the director of HR Operations and was named director of HR for Corporate Staff Groups and HR Operations in 2008.  Jack’s next assignment was as the HR director for Consumer Packaging, Printing & Communications Papers, and the Global Human Resources function.  He assumed his final role with International Paper as the HR director for the Industrial Packaging Group in April, 2013. Jack retired on January 1, 2019. Jack received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York and served as an officer in the U.S. Army from 1980-1985. Jack and his wife, Deborah, live in Collierville, Tennessee and have a daughter and two sons.

Jeanie Dowdle retired from International Paper December 2019. She started her career with International Paper in 1987 as a Programmer Analyst leading the IT training initiative for the office suite software in preparation of the company’s move from Purchase NY to Memphis TN.  She spent 7 years in IT before moving to Corporate Quality where she worked as a Quality Manager supporting IP’s staff groups.  While there, she also became an auditor for IP’s corporate quality initiatives and provided assessments for areas of the company seeking Malcolm Baldrige certification.  Jeanie became the Manager of Sales Training in 2000 and helped to create the process for developing sales professionals.  In 2004, Jeanie moved to the enterprise supply chain project where she worked as a change analyst supporting the Deliver initiative.  It was in the Center of Transportation Excellence where she became the Export Operations Manager responsible for shipping in excess of $3 million in products internationally.  In 2014 Jeanie became the Manager of Global Supply Chain Learning & Development where she managed the company’s supply chain development program, LAUNCH, and Supply Chain University.  Jeanie is married to Wayne Dowdle and they have three adult children and is a proud grandmother to three grandchildren.

John Purdy joined International Paper in 1987, and has been assigned a number of job roles since then including, Facility Services Mail and Shipping Supervisor, Account Executive, Pricing Coordinator, Domestic and Export Customer Service Manager, and Business Analyst. He is currently serving as a Process Steward within the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence Sustainable Solutions Team.

Prior to joining IP, John was an In-processing Sergeant at the U.S Army 120th Adjutant General Detachment (Reception Station) Fort Jackson, SC.  Throughout his Military career in the U.S Army and U.S Army Reserve program he has had a number of duty assignments including 7th Infantry Division Fort Ord California,  U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan, (Seoul Korea), and the 5th Brigade 100th Division, Louisville KY.  He retired from the United States Army Reserve Program after 23 years of service.
John earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from the University of Memphis. He has been married to his Wife Tamena for 38 years.  John is also the proud father of two Sons, John III and Matthew and Grandfather to two grandsons, Wesley and Jeremiah.  

Mike Gorski

Mike Gorski began his career with Champion International Corporation in 1978 as a forester. While at Champion, his career transitioned from field forestry to human resources in the late 1980’s.  During the 1990’s, Mike worked in a several business units including Forest Products, Coated Papers, and White Papers in various HR related roles. In 2000, International Paper acquired Champion and Mike, his wife Cindy, and two boys (Matt and Rich) moved to Memphis. Mike joined the Human Resources organization in Printing and Communications Papers and served in that capacity until 2006 when he joined Project EDGE. After the project, he transitioned to the Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence as the Lead for Change Management and Training. In 2016, after a 38-year career in the industry, Mike retired from International Paper.  He is currently semi-retired, splitting his time between various consulting projects and retirement pursuits (including photography and travel). Ottie Dixon

Ottie Dixon began his paper industry career at International Paper in 1981.  During his 33 year career, Ottie has worked in many facets of human resources, including both operation and staff roles. Additionally, he worked in many of the company’s various businesses – wood products, coated paperboard, decorative products and container.  His jobs have ranged from industrial relations manager, region human resources manager to area human resources leader.  He retired in 2019. Ottie and his wife of 29 years (Marilyn) are the proud parents of two adult sons (Corbin and Austin).
